The Volkswagen CC already has the successor . After the little-demanded marketing of the coupe based on the Volkswagen Passat, we already know the model that will take its place. It receives the name of Volkswagen Arteon, something that already knew. The German “car of the people” brand has not been able to wait for the opening of the Geneva Motor Show to unveil it, showing it a few hours before its official presentation at this great event.
Standing above the Volkswagen Passat, the Volkswagen Arteon is presented as a premium coupé with a five-door body and a cockpit approved for five people. This detail makes the new model more practical than its predecessor, since the CC used a four-door body, that is, its ease and load possibilities were lower, in addition to an interior for four people.
As we said, it derives from the Passat. Therefore, this model has been developed on the same modular platform MQB used by so many of the Volkswagen Group. Compared with the average saloon, the Volkswagen Arteon is 9 cm longer, 4 cm wider and 3 cm lower, so its exterior dimensions are 4.86 meters long, 1.87 wide and 1.43 High. The distance between its axes is of 2.84 meters. Volkswagen says it now gets more room for the legs and head. Its trunk is 563 liters.
In the mechanical, you will enjoy engines of gasoline and diesel but is likely to incorporate some later motorization, quite possibly a hybrid version. In the range of petrol appears the new 1.5 TSI of 150 CV, next to the block 2.0 TSI in powers of 190 and 280 CV. The diesel family will consist of three variants of the 2.0 TDI, yielding 150, 190 and 240 hp.

At the level of finishing, the Volkswagen Arteon will have three. An inferior one, that does not have the (for now) concrete denomination, an Elegance finish that looks for a greater luxury and the R-Line that will be more focused to the sportiness.
