Skoda gave us just a couple of months ago the update of its most important model today, the Skoda Octavia 2017. The Skoda Octavia RS is a car that usually likes for its great commitment, since it maintains all the comfort, habitability and load space of the “normal” saloon, but with more powerful mechanics and a slightly more sporty taring. The Octavia RS of gasoline will use the 2.0 TSI of 230 hp, that improves in 10 CV to its predecessor and 350 Nm; Being able to do 0 to 100 in 6.7 seconds and an approved consumption of 6.5 l / 100 km. The Octavia RS diesel will continue to rely on the 2.0 TDI of 184 hp and 380 Nm. Available with manual or DSG change, as well as front or integral traction, it is capable of performing 0 to 100 in 7.9 seconds and driving at 232 km / h; All with an approved consumption of 4.5 liters.

The quaint front lights feature full LED lighting as standard, the grille is chrome-finished in black, and in the lower area the central air intake and the sides that hold the fog lights are more striking and straight. In the rear few changes beyond those already seen, plus a small spoiler, low diffuser and chrome exhaust.

The standard tires will be 17 inches, but may optionally be 18 inches and 19 inches. They are fitted with red brake calipers. The body will be somewhat closer to the ground, specifically 15 mm, thanks to a sportier suspension. Oddly enough, the width of the rear track grows by 30 mm, which should greatly improve stability on the rear axle. The Skoda Octavia RS features, among other things, progressive steering, various driving modes, Dynamic Chassis Control and a “high-performance sound generator”, simulating engine sound through the speakers.

The interior of the Skoda Octavia RS will be different from the more traditional versions, but only in some details. It is hoped to incorporate the connectivity systems seen in the Octavia 2017 with a 9.2-inch screen associated with the Columbus browser, internet connection, more sporty seats, leather upholstery, aluminum pedals and the usual Simply Clever solutions In the mark of the Czech Republic.
